The rules as originally written gives you an additional realm of contacts (Police, Criminals, Politicians, etc.) per dot. I don’t like that.

Instead, when you buy contacts, you also buy the realm, and you gain certain benefits for the depth of knowledge.

Rough Draft

Realms: Bureaucracy, Church, Corporate, Finance, Health, High Society, Industry, Legal, Media, Occult, Police, Politics, Street, Transportation, Underworld

X – Let me call this other guy I know – All rolls involving the Contacts merit don’t have the frustration penalty applied for RANK rolls of attempts to accomplish a task.

XX – I’ve got a lot of friends – Gain one dot of allies in this realm.

XXXIt isn’t what you know, it is who you know – You may add your rank of contacts to your die pool for accomplishing any extended task, assuming you can reach them, at the penalty of an increase in the time it takes per roll as you are working remotely.

XXXXI know someone who knows someone – The cost to buy one other contact merit is reduced to 1x new rating.

XXXXXKingpin – If spend willpower and your contacts roll succeeds, the ST must give you useful, actionable information, there is nothing that your contacts won’t eventually find out. It may take some time, but you will find it out.
